About Me

Experience

I previously served as the Vice President of Information Technology at the Kansas City Board of Trade, a small commodity exchange and clearinghouse handling futures and options on Hard Red Winter Wheat. During my tenure, I was responsible for all technology-related aspects, from writing and managing the system to display real-time market prices on the trading floor to overseeing our electronic trading market hosted on the CME Globex platform.

Our market data for the trading pit was captured and distributed through our in-house built and maintained price reporting system, then sent to the CME Globex platform for global distribution. We also ingested electronic market data from the CME Globex platform and collaborated with another market data provider to display all other markets globally that members requested on the trading floor. Additionally, I managed disaster recovery and business continuity planning, maintained our primary and secondary data centers, built compliance and trade practice surveillance systems, and oversaw price reporting and trading systems.

Since then, I have transitioned to roles focusing on Software Architecture and Engineering. I have a deep passion for learning and coaching others to improve their software skills. Currently, I am working for a consulting company where I engage directly with clients to gather requirements and develop software solutions tailored to their needs.
