Welcome back! It has been awhile since I last made a post. With Family, life, and work, it all keeps me busy and away from posting. But since, I have a renewed desire to blog and share with you all things that I learn and that I am excited for within the world of .NET software engineering.

Family

The family has grown a bit since I last posted. But luckily, now they have grown to a point where they are all in school and enjoying their own interests and activities. One loves soccer so that keeps us busy, the other loves dancing, and I think the oldest will be an engineer of some sort in the future. One can only hope at least. We love attending games during soccer season and enjoying outdoor time at the lack when we can during the summer. Not only the family has changed but also career paths have changed.

Career

I started this blog back when I was working as a Vice President of IT for a local commodities exchange. It gave me a way to share what I have learned solving complex issues. Since then, I have worked for a financial firm, an insurance firm, and my latest has been at a consulting firm. Consulting really is where my passion resides. I love getting to speak with a customer, realizing what they love as well and empowering them with modernized technology that can scale to the levels their business wants to grow. With that being said, I also love learning and love taking others along with me on that journey. As I learn and learn from others, especially I have realized writing about it, and potentially in the future vlogging will help showcase my passion for learning, teaching, and helping others.

Summary

I hope that you will come back and enjoy more of my content in the future as I pick back up writing about the things in .NET that excite me and have learned along the way. The future of .NET in the past several years since .NET core was released has gotten very exciting and really has transformed into a very modern language. So I hope to bring you more exciting content in the very near future.
